I have been a babysitter occasionally with a few select families watching children 12 and under since I was 15. Including watching over children, helping with schoolwork, taking care of babies, communicating with different types of families, and being someone kids can trust to come to for any problem.
Got my footing working customer service here learning how to work with multiple people and deal with customers in a stressful environment. The job included knowing how to work the register and the store's system (which changed to a separate system while I was there), making pizza following food safety, prepping ingredients, making pizza dough from scratch, working as a team as a very fast pace, and keeping everything organized. While I was working here I was given a raise twice and offered a manager position numerous times.
Fast paced environment working as a team in pizza to get orders out quickly and properly.
I was brought up to a manager position and moved to this location as it was closer to my home. I learned to manage a team on my own often being the only person in the store with knowledge of how to do everything in the store. Spent most of my time managing inventory, cleaning, and training new hires, as well as general running of the store, often times just myself and one other person. I knew my way around every system used in the store and how to deal with mishaps from me or other management. Had to be the voice of leadership when more often than not majority of employees were new hires who had just been thrown into the busy schedule and had to figure out how to make everything run smoothly while teaching multiple people on multiple positions simultaneously.
Grade potential tutoring is a one-on-one tutoring program outside of school for parents or students to reach out for extra help. Every student that I am matched with I'm expected to know the material and teach the student effectively in a way that's easy to understand. We build good relationships with students and parents and monitor progress to help the student meet their academic goals, whether it be studying for a GED or learning times tables.
