After school, I would go to JFK Middle school to tutor some of the kids for volunteer hours. Specifically, I provided homework assistance using specific curriculum and materials, supported students with helpful study habits and exam strategies, and provided one-on-one tutoring sessions, tailoring instruction to meet the specific needs of each student while promoting independent learning skills.

When I volunteered, I would stay in the office and file paperwork. I also went around the classrooms in the school and organized them. Since it was summertime, the kids attending summer school would also be under my care at times.
