Duties and Responsibilities:

Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) Project

• Assigned to call United Healthcare (US insurance company) members who were candidates of having high cholesterol problems.
• Discussed with the members to consult their attending physicians if they needed statin therapy for their high cholesterol.
• Noted their scheduled dates of doctor’s appointments for a follow-up call.
• For the follow-up, called the respective members again and asked if their doctor did a thorough exam, and if they were prescribed any cholesterol lowering medication and documented the results.

Lipitor Pill Splitting Project:

• Assigned to call United Healthcare members who were already taking Lipitor (cholesterol lowering drug), explained to them the process of pill splitting and how this can reduce their healthcare costs.
• Scheduled a follow-up call after they had an appointment with their attending physician.
• Evaluated the patient’s comments and documented the outcome.
