I have approximately 16 years of experience working with State and County inmates. I have also worked alongside California Department Corrections Rehabilitation's K-9 Unit and Delano Police's K-9 Unit in large-scale operations where large quantities of narcotics were located and recovered.
For the past 13 years, I have served as a Detentions Deputy, overseeing operations at all four facilities in Lerdo and the Central Receiving Facility. My current roles include being a Detentions Training Officer, a member of the Recruitment Team, and part of Lerdo's Investigation Unit.
I laid the foundation for the Detentions Canine Handler program by researching and volunteering on my free time to find an agency that could assist us in creating a successful Detection K-9 program. If given the opportunity as a Lerdo Canine Handler, I will use my trainings and experiences into building this program to be successful and a long running asset to the Kern County Sheriff's Office. I am passionate about working along side my canine partner and grow together in knowledge and having many successful operations.
My home consists of my girlfriend, Jennifer (31 years old) and my three daughters. The oldest is Katalina (9 years old), my middle child is Zoe (4 years old) and Luna (4 months old).
