Being a forklift driver come with many responsibilities, most fall within my department( Merchandising) and some fall outside my main department. However, my main responsibilities include, loading and unloading trucks, handling heavy machinery, stocking merchandise, organizing the steel with product in a safe and productive manner. In addition, I and my co workers are in charge of maintaining the store during operation hours, if anything needs to be dropped from the steel and stocked out on the floor, that’s when I come in. Many times during operation hours I have to drive a forklift while customers are out on the floor, therefore safety is a huge responsibility of mine.

• Kept accurate records of all materials moved including quantity, destination, and time taken.
• Inspected the forklift daily to ensure proper functioning of safety equipment and components.
• Loaded and unloaded trucks with forklift in a safe manner.
• Ensured all safety regulations were met while operating the forklift in the warehouse area.
• Completed daily paperwork including logs, reports, and checklists related to operational activities.
• Organized stock shelves, racks, and bins according to product type and size.
• Assisted other personnel in loading or unloading materials from trailers.
• Maintained cleanliness of work area throughout shift.
• Followed instructions from supervisors regarding product placement on shelves or racks.
• Reported any issues with machinery promptly to supervisor for repair.
• Moved products to designated areas using the forklift.
• Communicated effectively with co-workers, customers, and management team members.
• Trained new employees on how to safely operate a forklift in accordance with company policies.
• Stacked pallets in an orderly fashion within storage facilities or onto delivery trucks.
