• Presented a paper titled ‘Influence of Technology on the Evolution of Designing’, highlighting how the process has evolved from paper-based to computer-generated renderings.
• Presented a paper titled ‘Heat Transfer Processes and Recent Trends’, where I highlighted how modern manufacturing has pushed for innovation and developed new heat treatment processes.
• An industrial visit to CHW Forge helped me understand the industrial process and how the supply chain and outsourcing work.
• Completed a six-week Internship at Narora Atomic Power Plant which gave me deep insight into the processes carried out in the power plant. On a broader scale, I also got acquainted with real-world transactions such as raw materials procurement and power distribution, to mention a few.
• Design and Development of a prototype Vertical Axis Wind Turbine Developed a VAWT that could produce outputs even in low-speed winds of 2.6 m3/min. Turbine Vanes were aerodynamically designed to gather the air and push the turbine. Demonstrated electricity generation by charging a cell phone and lighting up a 60-watt bulb.
• Design and Development of Coil Spring Suspension Designed a process and assembly layout for a standard coil spring suspension in a cost-effective way that introduced automation where possible to remove human intervention and error, in turn also reducing production time.
