In this contest I was given a few different options as for what i could do, I could draw a poster, write a poem, or write a short story. For days I went back and fourth between my parents and teacher trying to figure out what I could do to make my writings better, or what narrative I should make the most prominent. I eventually settled on a story that pushed the ideas of inclusion and safe environments. This story was told through the lens of a Ponderosa pine tree as it was centered around the national forests. My initial plans for this story were way more juvenile, so I am Glad I had people around me to lead me in the right direction to afford me this victory.
