Mechanical engineering student at the Colorado School of Mines, eager to gain practical industry experience. Skilled in teamwork and collaboration, with a strong focus on designing and working together to achieve a shared goal.
I was part of a team that designed a shredder capable of processing plastic waste prints no larger than 2 inches in any direction and reducing them down to coarse pieces no larger than 0.25 inches. I gained experience in plasma cutting, 3D printing and writing G-code, and CAD applications.
I worked with a team that designed and manufactured a derby car. I developed knowledge with using a CNC mill and lathe, SOLIDWORKS, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and the importance of being adaptable when challenges arise.
I collaborated with a team to design and manufacture a versatile aerospace bracket that could support 30 pounds, positioned 3 inches from the wall mount. While functionality was our main focus, we also had to prioritize other factors such as ease of manufacturing to help reduce cost and labor.
