Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on fire apparatus and support vehicles. Diagnose and repair heavy equipment to ensure operational readiness for emergency response. Manufacturers that I currently work on include Pierce, E-One, Sutphen, and Braun units. Extensive knowledge in Cummins engine operations including emissions repair with Insite troubleshooting. Wide variety of repair experience with International and Freightliner chassis including electrical diagnostics, air conditioning service and repair, suspension component replacement, and hydraulic systems service

• Diagnose and repair Pierce, Sutphen and Seagrave fire pumpers and ladders. Work includes diesel engine repair, electrical diagnostics, air conditioning repair, front end component replacement, foam system repair, as well as fire pump repairs. Most of our work is done in house to speed up the turn around time and keep the units in service. My job also includes performing the PM inspections and maintenance services in a timely and professional manner. My diesel engine experience consists of Cummins L9, Cummins 6.7, along with Detroit Diesel DD13. I do have experience diagnosing and repairing V-MUX electrical systems. I also perform PM inspections on Braun Rescues. This includes all the maintenance that is required along with any repairs that these units may need. Repairs include air leaks, coolant leaks, belts, hoses, emissions diagnostics, as well as keeping the patient compartment in clean and working order.

• Diagnose and repair all make and model vehicles ranging from small cars to heavy equipment including Vector units. Perform all necessary maintenance in accordance with the service manual. My experience on vehicles includes electrical diagnostics, engine repair, repairing transmission mechanical and electrical issues, replacement of front end components, interior dash work, timing belts, and diagnosing driveability concerns. My main focus point at West Palm was to keep the police units in great shape and on the road. We had the opportunity to open the fire apparatus repair shop at West Palm, and I was a part of that process. We maintained Sutphen pumpers and MedTec Rescues. Those 3 years of working on Sutphen pumpers and MedTec rescues was very important for my experience. It was a learning curve to work on fire engines at that time, but I am glad I took that opportunity because I am comfortable working on them now and I enjoy what I do.

• Diagnose and repair all makes of small vehicles and light trucks to my best potential because our reputation was well received as a shop that does good work and we did our best to keep that reputation positive. Replacement of parts was performed at a reasonable pace. I did most everything including engine replacement, transmission repair, electrical diagnostics and repair, air conditioning repair, front end work, along with any maintenance recommended by the manufacturer. I also interacted with the customers on a regular basis regarding their vehicle concerns which taught me a lot about communication in a real world setting.

• Diagnose and repair all Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles back to manufacturer specs. Perform all necessary maintenance in accordance with the service manual. Perform all vehicle recalls and ensure proper diagnostics and repairs have been made to the best of our ability. As team leader, I would assist other technicians with their diagnostics, or any other issues that needed to be managed. My responsibilities also included monitoring labor hours to make sure the customers were getting a fair deal and to keep our prices comparable to other dealerships. Everyday I needed to make sure the shop had a good productive flow and that our clients were happy whether their repair was in or out of warranty. The type of repairs that I performed were electrical diagnostics and repair, transmission removal and installation, air conditioning repair, as well as engine disassembly, repair, and reassembly.

• Diagnose and repair all Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles back to manufacturer specs. Work performed included engine repair, driveability, electrical, air conditioning, and front end repair. I received a flat rate pay, similar to commission, so this is when I started to gain a lot of experience on how to repair vehicles correctly the first time but at a reasonable pace. The shop foreman at the time also coached me on how to repair your own vehicles while guiding other technicians in the proper direction with their own vehicles in order to increase the flow of the shop
