Proven leader in financial consulting at Charles Schwab, adept in strategic planning and client relationship building. Excelled in growing client assets and enhancing wealth management solutions through innovative business development and cross-functional collaboration. Achieved significant sales growth by leveraging in-depth industry knowledge and exceptional engagement skills.
As a VP Financial Consultant I managed a practice of more than 250 dedicated households to not only maintain their relationship at the firm, but to also take them through our sales process of Engage, Discover, Gain commitment, and to Enhance their client experience on an ongoing basis. This role allowed me to leverage my sales skills to enroll clients into managed investing solutions while also growing the client's relationship with our firm by acquiring additional outside assets.
I served as a front line for the local retail branch and assisted walk in clients with various service tasks while also obtaining deeper understanding of their needs through proper questioning in order to position Schwab's client solutions. I blocked my calendar for dedicated outbound calls to new branch leads in order to schedule client discovery meetings and move the sales process forward. Many times this resulted in taking clients through a process of discovery, planning, and then actionable next steps to drive the business forward. Once uncovering business opportunities with clients, I then transitioned them to our senior consultants so that the business could be closed and the client relationship strengthened.
This role began with obtaining industry licenses while simultaneously working on multiple teams within the inbound call center. These two years were dedicated to learning the ins and outs of the company while progressing on an upward trajectory toward working with our outbound dialing business development teams.
I keep my work life balance in check by traveling to new places, which often are centered around the game of golf, and by also challenging myself in the gym. Golf has not only allowed me to meet incredible people but has also taught me many lessons about life and business. On the first tee you're all strangers but by the end of the round you've learned so much about your playing partners whether it be through observation or from the conversations you've shared with them over the course of a 4 hour round of golf. As for the physical fitness... it ties directly into sales. People make a judgement of you before you even speak to them, and I prefer to put my best appearance in front of people at all times. They know that I'm disciplined before even speaking to me.
