• Responded to emergency medical calls to perform lifesaving procedures and other emergency medical services.
• Operated fire hoses, hydrants and extinguishers to eliminate fire and prevent from spreading.
• Documented emergency calls and equipment maintenance to enable tracking history and maintain accurate records.

Assist with decision making for crop hybrid selection and nutrient management on a large row crop farming operation in Northern Illinois. I was in charge of managing three High school-aged workers to accomplish various tasks around the farm.

Through my time at North Park I was able to gain a solid understanding of the basics of both firefighting and EMS while volunteering during night shifts from 7pm-7am during weekdays.

Care and management of cattle and swine

Worked fixing machinery, driving a grain cart, and assisting in the harvesting process. Valuable self sufficiency and team-based skills were learned.

Work in lab and field to isolate strains of Northern Corn Leaf Blight. Learned to isolate and culture bacteria in the lab. Field work involved bagging and pollinating corn plants in order to ensure genetic traits remained.

Check with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.

I performed research and compiled historical weather and yield data to formulate trend line yields and determine future commodity price forecasts as well as work in a stressful environment on the Chicago Board of Trade floor filling orders.
