West Coast Training - Trade School

  • Heavy Equipment- Training and operation in NCCER and OSHA standards for digging trenches, manholes and proper shoring use. Proper training in backfilling and compacting earth to prepare for new construction using backhoe, excavator, loaders and dozers. Proper use of heavy equipment to load dump trucks and transporting heavy equipment with a tractor and trailer. Trained to grade and track slopes. Planned all lifts and used capacity charts. Maintained equipment in good working order by checking fluid levels and greasing and fueling machines.
  • Cranes- Training in NCCCO, ANSI and OSHA standards for proper operation use of Boom Trucks, Cherry Pickers and Track/Truck-Mounted Lattice Cranes to make safe and accurate picks. Trained to properly understand load charts to calculate safe lifting procedures. Trained to make daily inspections of equipment and use of correct blocks, hooks, hoist line and jib for calculated safe lift.
