Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections and routine service to ensure mechanical operability. Swap primary and secondary regulators to clean/rebuild at district Reg stations. Install gas meters and set regulators to proper delivery pressure. Conduct bi-monthly cathodic protection reads and test own voltmeter. Respond to all gas emergencies. Daily use of computer programs to complete work and to create and file special work duties.
Operate Backhoe and hand shovels to dig trenches, backfill holes and compact earth during maintenance on gas lines. Respond to and assist with all gas-related emergencies. Safely operate tapping and stopping equipment, electric power tools,hand tools and compressed gas cylinders. Monitor and maintain crew truck inventory for each job. Preform daily DOT inspections on Crew Truck/ Dump truck and trailer,and maintenance checks on Backhoe. Properly conduct joining, wrapping and sealing sections of pipe.
Sergeant Team/Squad Leader- Supervise, develop and lead training programs in preparation for combat/rescue operations. Communicate urgent orders and directions effectively with GPS and radios to aviation, armored units and ground personnel. Supervise the survey of terrain to determine optimum equipment placement and use. Operated and maintain armored vehicle and gear worth roughly $3.5 million.
Investigated major malfunctions and breakdowns of heating, air-conditioning systems and ductwork. Assisted in the instillation of new equipment and thermostats. Inspected and tested refrigeration systems, safety devices and controls. Filled out detailed work orders for each job completed. Operations Support- Provide quick rescue response for injured/sick persons in toxic area. Monitored and filled compressed air bottles for SCBA and EBA. Decontaminated entrants for egress from the toxic area. Weekly member of employee led safety committee focused on the safety of personnel making entries into toxic areas by writing and enforcing SOP's.
Team Leader/Squad Leader, Iraq War- 2010-2011. Performed as a fire team leader during Iraq deployment, exercises and all infantry dismounted battle drills. Tracked personnel and supplies within the company. Supervised and led in the planning, resourcing and execution of numerous mounted and dismounted operations. Upheld and reinforced the army standards and regulations.
