I have been captivated by reptiles and animals since I could remember. It has always been a deep passion of mine. I believe that we should spread awareness about the preservation of many delicate ecosystems and wildlife that we rely on. For example: pollinators like bees, which produce 1/3 of the worlds food supply by giving us endless fruits and vegetables and 1/2 of the worlds oils, fibers and other raw materials.
I have not only maintained and kept many reptiles and aquatic species, but have also helped them flourish. Initially, my main focus is to research where a specific reptile is found in the wild, and recreate these living conditions on a much smaller scale.
Duties for housing reptiles include but are not limited to maintaining consistent temperatures, humidity, UV levels, fresh water sources, clean enclosures, consistent food, and overall ideal living conditions based on that reptiles natural habitat.
Care of aquatic species is a bit more extensive and requires a bit more knowledge about water conditions, PH levels, diseases, bacteria, fungal and algae growth, the nitrogen cycle, animal behavior, ect. To ensure optimal living conditions, it is our responsibility to research the conditions of the animals natural habitat and replicate these conditions, otherwise it could be fatal. Enjoying a vibrant aquarium can be very therapeutic and rewarding if conditions are met.
I believe I can be very beneficial to the company by offering my knowledge, passion, and drive to provide not only the animals with a positive experience but all the people who will come to LegaSea or The Reptarium with positive experiences as well. I would find great joy in waking up and going to work everyday knowing id be doing something I love. Being positive and optimistic in the workplace can really make the worlds difference.
