Work History

Director of Enterprise Systems and Data

Janus International Inc
Temple, GA
02.2024 - Current

In this position, I was assigned responsibility for establishing an Agile development team to intake and manage all manner of business technology requests from Janus business stakeholders, and process owners. These requests range from major platform implementations or upgrades to smaller-scale project oversight and home-grown software solutions.

Some of my major accomplishments include:

  • Onboarding a dynamic and deeply capable development, project management, and data governance team for the enterprise.
  • Established and led Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, to promote Agile best practices.
  • Migration from Salesforce to Dynamics CRM.

This project was assigned after the Enterprise Systems and Data Team was formed. The project was a year off schedule, significantly out of scope, and over budget with an external vendor on a time and material SOW. Resolution here includes halting the project with the third-party vendor, realigning spending, internalizing development resources at a lower price point, and delivering major project components to get the platform operational for the organization.

  • Further refinement of the Dynamics platform, and additional module implementations.

This consisted of evaluating and onboarding new development and support partners for the Microsoft stack, specifically Dynamics and Business Central, and continuing the implementation of new modules, including Field Service, Sales, Project Operations, and Co-Pilot, properly configuring and aligning these technologies for maximum business impact and ROI.

  • Upgrade in place of legacy ERPs, Sage 500, and Made 2 Manage.
  • Leadership of a major project to upgrade all IT infrastructure, along with critical enterprise systems.

This project included the onboarding of additional contract-based project management staff, and the organization of all forms of IT resources for successful delivery.

  • Master Data Management practice and governance implementation.

I was tasked with overseeing a large-scale project to collaborate with an outside data vendor and establish an MDM model for the product and customer domains. This project included the onboarding of a versatile data team, as well as project oversight employees, and a robust RFP process for MDM tool vendors, and is currently underway in its final stages.

  • Continued maintenance and modernization of reporting.

This project included the deployment of Microsoft Synapse to replace Jitterbit and serve as the data analytics platform for Janus. In this project, we have engaged in data modeling and modernization of reporting KPIs and delivery in Power BI as a single, unified platform.

  • Worked in unison with the entire IT management team in the renegotiation of a large-scale Microsoft EA agreement, along with the necessary CSP agreements to support the enterprise licenses model.
