My name is Adam Gonzalez, and I have been working for the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department since January 2020. I completed the six-month academy with the department and obtained the California POST certificate. After completing the academy, I was transferred to the High Desert Detention Center to work as a Corrections Deputy. I gained valuable experience working with both professional staff and individuals in custody.
In November 2022, I was transferred to the Apple Valley Police Station to begin patrol duties. During the next two years, I acquired knowledge about case laws, criminal proceedings, subpoenas, arrest warrants, juvenile cases, detention warrants, CFS follow-up, and more. My experience in dealing with juveniles and the public has prepared me well for a role in the Hesperia School Police.
