At Trident, we are working on the low voltage controls for the HVAC systems being installed in the new dorms and stadium renovations at the university here in Laramie. This includes the installation and wiring of temperature sensors, louver damper actuators, relays, current transformers and more.

The large scale jobsites that we work on require cooperation with other trades, as well as communication with Johnson Controls (who subcontracts us) and the general contractor.

• Pulled wiring, cables, and grounds through cable trays and conduits.
• Demonstrated expertise in reading blueprints, schematics, diagrams, technical drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
• Provided guidance to apprentices regarding proper safety protocols while working onsite.
• Troubleshot electrical systems and identified solutions to electrical issues.
• Inspected and tested electrical systems and components to locate defects and malfunctions.
• I greatly enjoyed the challenges presented by learning the electrical trade. So much so that after my apprenticeship I decided to continue my education further by pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree.
