I have been a student at Pepperdine University studying Nutrition/Biology/Philosophy as a Pre-Med major from August of 2016- April of 2018, and then I finished my degree from 2021-2023 after living in Europe for the medical fellowships. I took an independent study leave after 2018 in order to serve as a medical fellow while also working. Prior to attending Pepperdine, I had the privilege of working within journalism, film and media production throughout high-school. This entailed shooting, editing, and producing short films throughout my high school career. I am a strong public speaker, I am a team builder, and I always like to take charge in the most constructive manner with respect to the group as a whole. I am very adaptive in difficult situations so I always look for solutions, and I am able to work well with any personality type. In regards to my passion for medicine and healthcare, I had the pleasure of traveling to Milan, Italy with the Atlantis Fellowship to shadow the surgeons and healthcare providers at the Ospedale Di San Raffaele for a few months in June of 2017, and then I did another fellowship in Barcelona, Spain for a few months in 2019. There, I was able to gain insight and exposure to the alternative and differing methods of healthcare outside of the U.S., while also scrubbing-in for surgery every day for a total of 6 months.

I assist my family manage our rental properties which entails various responsibilities aside from merely collecting rent. Since I speak Spanish, I often am the one that communicates with the renters, while also tending to any issues they might encounter such as finding contractors and facilitating deals whenever something needs maintenance or work done. I feel as though this small role in the family business has equipped me sufficiently due to the multi-faceted issues that accompany the ownership and management of so many different properties and estates.
As a Unitec programmer, we work alongside the Italian computer programmers that the company hires and has on-site at all times to ensure the success, efficiency, as well as the consistency of the "Unitec" hardware and software that sorts the cherries while remaining within the U.S.D.A.'s guidelines. I was trained on their own computer program where every moment involves making small adjustments to the algorithm in order to maximize profitability of the lot. This job involved a lot of critical thinking on your toes and constant, effective communication with all members of the team.
As a member of "College Connection" on Pepperdine's campus, I had the privilege of visiting and meeting with students in poor neighborhoods of South Central, L.A. and not only getting them excited about their futures but also helping them every step of the way in the application process for colleges. This was a humbling and eye-opening experience for many reasons. It was truly insightful and touching to see so many bright, young kids considering a higher education when no one in their family has before.
My sophomore year at Pepperdine, I had the chance to work for Waves On Call which is essentially the name given to the team that reaches out to past alumni's of the institution. I would primarily communicate with these individuals over the phone which immensely strengthened my communication skills and also cultivated myself as somewhat of a good salesman since we would essentially ask for a gift or donation to the college once we had built up a strong rapport.
I had the pleasure of working for Campus Recreation at Pepperdine University my freshman year of college. It was my job to not only check the attendees in for the various workout classes but I was also C.P.R. certified which meant that it was my job to ensure a level of safety to each class taught.
