  • Dear Ms. Hammonds
  • I am writing to express my interest in the Dean of Students position at LISA Academy. I started my teaching journey at LISA Academy five years ago and am deeply rooted in the school's mission and values. I credit much of my professional growth and learning to the enriching environment provided by this esteemed institution and its leaders.
  • I have had a remarkable path of personal and professional development during my tenure at LISA Academy. Beginning as a teacher with no prior experience, I have since obtained a Master's degree in teaching, fueled by an unwavering passion for guiding students toward greatness. I have taught hundreds of students who often had differing learning capabilities and found ways to meet each student where they are. Every day, I have endeavored to instill in my students not only academic knowledge, but also the essential life lessons that transcend the confines of the classroom. Beyond the classroom, I have shown my dedication to LISA Academy by enthusiastically doing carpool and recess duty, subbing for my colleagues, and participating in after-school clubs. I believe teamwork is essential in education and I have shown that I am always eager to be a teamplayer.
  • The essence of education lies not merely in imparting knowledge but in nurturing individuals who are equipped to navigate the complexities of life with integrity, resilience, and empathy. Through my role as a teacher, I strive to exemplify important values like compassion, perseverance, and a commitment to continuous growth. I firmly believe that the most significant lesson one can impart to a student is the art of being the best version of themselves, regardless of life's challenges and uncertainties.
  • As Dean of Students at LISA Academy, I am eager to leverage my diverse experiences and insights gained as a teacher to contribute meaningfully to the school's leadership team. I am committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to realize their full potential. This role will provide me with new ways in which I can contribute to students’ success, specifically by having the opportunity to directly address common issues that hinder a student’s ability to learn. I also know this role will present new challenges, both professional and personal. However, navigating teaching during both a pandemic and transitional times within our school’s operation, I have the resilience and grit to take on any challenge I am presented with as Dean of Students. I have had wonderful leaders throughout my time at LISA Academy and they have taught me lessons I will carry with me in the role. With a collaborative spirit, a dedication to excellence, and a genuine passion for education, I am confident in my ability to uphold the high standards of academic excellence and integrity synonymous with LISA Academy.
  • I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to further discuss how my background, skills, and aspirations align with the vision of LISA Academy. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the possibility of contributing to the continued success and growth of LISA Academy as Dean of Students.
  • Sincerely
  • Adam Meek
