A Typical Day
A typical day in the life of a compressed air service technician begins as I log into my Elite app and click start to head to my first job of the day. I hop into my company provided Mercedes van, which is equipped with tools and parts that will allow me to complete most jobs I will face. Once I arrive at my first job of the day, I once again access my app and click "arrive" then retrieve my work order from my company provided laptop and make contact with the POC listed on the ticket. Once I make contact with the POC and discuss with them the job that will be performed, I locate parts, put on the proper PPE and begin the task of performing the task at hand. If I happen to run into any trouble as far as work order issues or missing parts, I can call our coordination team. Or, If a problem arises and I become "stumped", I can reach out to our technical support team. Once the job is completed, I make sure all equipment is up and running properly, equipment is left clean and I clean up after myself removing all trash/tools/etc. Then I will complete my service order ticket, reach out to the POC, explain all the details of the job and if there were any problems found or follow up work needed. After our discussion I will enter a "work completed" time on my electronic work order, have the customer digitally sign, take pictures of the area/equipment and tap "depart" on my work Elite app and head to the next job!
