- Was fortunate enough to be selected to participate in Rutgers Cooperative Extension's Science Education and Outreach internship program, serving Hunterdon County, New Jersey. My role at this position was to help formulate and disseminate science-based educational programs across the county through the 4-H Youth Development program as well as through the RCE's Agriculture and Natural Resources program.
- My direct duties included:
- Drafting and leading science programs for youth ages K-13, catering to a wide range of interests and experiences
- Creating and editing outreach materials that communicate the benefits of the 4-H program, supported by data;
- Designing outreach promotional materials for consumer horticulture and the Master Gardener Program; and organizing programming to promote new tree fruit varieties to growers across New Jersey.
