As a DOT Logistics Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our
transportation and logistics operations, with a focus on fleet maintenance and
compliance with DOT regulations. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of
filling transportation needs while maintaining the highest safety standards

• DOT Compliance:
o Stay up to date with all DOT regulations and ensure that our transportation
operations comply with federal and state requirements.
o Develop and implement processes and procedures to guarantee DOT
compliance, including driver qualifications, vehicle maintenance, and
recordkeeping.
• Fleet Management:
o Oversee the management and maintenance of the company's
transportation fleet, including trucks, trailers, and equipment.
o Coordinate routine vehicle inspections, maintenance schedules, and repairs
to keep the fleet in optimal condition.
o Develop and manage the department and yearly Capex DOT budgets.
• Safety and Training:
o Implement safety programs to promote a culture of safety among drivers
and transportation staff.
o Conduct training programs to educate employees on DOT regulations, safe
driving practices, and emergency procedures.
• Route Optimization:
o Develop and optimize transportation routes to minimize costs, reduce
delivery times, and enhance efficiency.
o Utilize routing software and data analysis to make informed decisions about
the most efficient routes.
• Performance Monitoring:
o Monitor transportation operations to ensure on-time deliveries and efficient
resource utilization.
o Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvements to
enhance overall logistics performance.
• Risk Management:
o Identify and mitigate risks related to transportation, such as accidents,
delays, or compliance issues.
o Implement strategies to minimize risk and ensure the safety of employees
and cargo.
• Team Leadership:
o Lead a team of transportation professionals, including drivers, dispatchers,
and support staff.
