Work History

Offshore/Remote Paramedic

I became employed with Safety Management Systems late February in an attempt to pursue a career in the offshore industry.

While employed here I have attained my THUET, BOSIET, Rig Pass (with Relyon), Rigging Certification, Fall Prevention and Cold Water Survival Certifications (with FMTC Safety).

I am currently half way through OSHA 30 and confined space for (competent persons). OSHA certifications are of my own pursuit in an attempt to be utilized within the safety sector. These certifications will be complete no later than 05/20/2026.

My current assignment with SMS is aboard the Otto Candies servicing wind farms in the Atlantic Ocean.

Paramedic

Arkansas Children's Hospital Emergency Department
Little Rock, AR
01.2025 - Current
  • I was hired by Ar Children’s Hospital in January 2025 as a Paramedic for the Emergency Department. My time in the ED has taught me so much with the inner workings of an Emergency Department as well as pediatric patients. My job here is to assist nursing staff with daily tasks/orders that are placed by attending physician. These tasks are as minor as cleaning a room up to assisting orthopedics with a Bier Block procedure. IV access, medication administration, plaster splinting and in and out catheters are all daily procedures.
  • As a Paramedic we are utilized in multiple areas including our VED rooms (fast track rooms) as well as triaging patients as they entered through ED doors.
  • Hired 01/2025 - PRESENT / Full Time

Paramedic

Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services (MEMS)
Little Rock, AR
01.2016 - Current
  • I became employed at MEMS Ambulance Service in 2016. Since then I have been within good standings with this company. No suspensions, nor corrective actions. As a Paramedic at Mems I am responsible for responding to 911 Emergencies within a timely response and scheduled transfers of patients from Hospital to Hospital or facilities to home. Both of these EMS responses requires professionalism, high quality patient care, ability to work under stressful and intense situations along with maintaining safety for myself, my partner and patient. Continuing education is always a requirement throughout the year and all staff are required to fill their assigned shifts as well as shifts we pickup for overtime. Overtime shifts have included mass gatherings for concert and football games.
  • When inclimate weather moved into our service area, staff is required to fill mandatory shifts due to the threat of bad weather such as Tornados, severe flooding and winter weather.
  • Hired since 2016 - PRESENT / Part Time

Transfers from the ER to higher level of care was a common non emergent transport.
  • In 2012 while still employed at D.H. I earned my NREMT Paramedic. At that time my duties consisted of providing high quality patient care in the ER assisting nursing staff, responding to ALS emergencies as well as ALS transfers and working as an Respiratory Tech for the respiratory department. As an R/T I was responsible for EKG’s, holter monitor placement and interrogation, administering schedule Albuterol/Atrovent updrafts for patients on the floor and in nursing home. Other duties were required including drawing Arterial Blood Gas and obtaining results for Physicians and nursing staff.
  • Hired from 2008 to 2016

Emergency Ambulance Service
Pine Bluff, Arkansas
01.2008 - 01.2016
  • I was hired as a EMT-B for EASI ambulance service in 2008 as a full time Employee. When DeWitt Hospital was a part time position. When a full time position opened up at DeWitt Hospital I accepted their offer and was a part time employee for EASI ambulance service. During this time I earned my Paramedic and maintained both jobs. EASI is a private ambulance service and my duties were to respond to 911 emergency calls as well as schedule transfers from hospital, nursing homes and from home for bed continued patients to scheduled dialysis or other appointments. Accomplishments

During my career as a Paramedic I have received multiple phoenix awards from the ground service I work for in Arkansas. A Phoenix Award is presented after performing life saving ACLS skills on a cardiac arrest and the patient walks out of the hospital after recovery. These awards are very prestigious with MEMS Ambulance Service and are held with pride.

I received the State of Arkansas Life Saving award in January of this year. My partner and I were on a past call with Little Rock Fire Department and we were both recommended for this award after providing quality life saving ACLS skills for a patient that walked out of the hospital.

During my small career as an Offshore Paramedic, I have managed to obtain my THUET, RigPass, BOSIET, Rigging, Fall Prevention and Cold Water Survival Certifications.

I am currently working on OSHA 3O and Confine Space (Competent Person) that will both be completed before 05/20/2026
