• Performed wide range of specialized functions and complex assessments, diagnoses, therapies and emergency treatment of patients transported by rotor-wing and fixed-wing aircraft.

I was blessed to gain knowledge and experience in the following areas:

• Antepartum: Experienced in high risk maternal conditions that may warrant antepartum stays.
• OBED Triage: Well-versed in caring for patients that have a variety of conditions that prompt the mother to come into triage for medical care in a timely and proficient manner.
• OR / Circulate: Knowledgeable and experienced in circulating Cesarean Sections and recovering post C-section patients.
• Nursery: Happily served as admit nursery nurse – catching babies at delivery. Proficient in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization following NRP and management of newborn care. Assisted mothers with lactation needs and educated mothers on a variety of breastfeeding methods and techniques as well.
• Labor: Served as primary labor nurse assisting mothers through labor and caring for mothers into their initial postpartum recovery.
• Served as a Preceptor to new RNs

Travel Contract:

• This position allowed me to enter into rural nursing care and strategically utilize resources, staff, and understand limitations of a facility.
• I was able to utilize my nursing skills, knowledge, and ability to adapt to offer care to laboring mothers, care to the new mother in her postpartum period, as well as care of the newborn.

Travel contract:

• This allowed me to utilize my skill of quick adaptation, critical thinking skills, and utilization of core nursing skills to jump in and join the team.
• This position allowed me to support physicians and staff in management of laboring mothers, circulate both planned and emergent cesarean sections, evaluate and manage triage patients, as well as care for antepartum patients.

• Provided care to medical surgical patients. This floor was primarily an orthopedic/medical surgical floor. I cared for varying conditions including hip/knee replacements, ACL repairs, and various other post-surgical med-surg patients.
• I collaborated strongly with physical therapists and physicians in the care of post orthopedic surgeries. I was able to practice many technical skills on this floor.
• Educated patients and family members on disease processes as well as obtaining optimum health
• This position taught me the importance of each field in medicine, made me a better team player, and helped me sharpen my technical skills.
• Served as a preceptor for new RNs to the floor.

• Cared for various medical surgical patients including post cardiac surgeries, infectious diseases, and various other medical problems.
• Worked within interdisciplinary health care team to develop, implement and make adjustments to patient care plans, individualizing strategies, and methods to improve health and meet recovery goals.
• Educated patients and family members on disease processes and optimum state of health.
• This first nursing job taught me countless tools and helped prioritize time management.

Long Term Acute Care ICU.

• Responsible for patient’s hygiene, activities of daily living, comfort, and any other needs.
• Assisted hospital staff with therapy, assessments, ambulation, and wound care.
• This long term acute care gave me the opportunity to form relationships and learn higher acuity care.
