Community Engagement

- Cofounded, with my Mother,  the Ernie L. Scott Memorial Scholarship in honor of my Dad, who passed away in 2023 and served as the Director of the Kentucky State Office of Rural Health. This scholarship has providing financial assistance to students of Eastern Kentucky hoping to pursue a career in the medical field.

- Assisted my parents in the restoration of the Ovenfork Old Regular Baptist Church into what became known as The Meetin' House,  a venue space providing the community a gathering spot for events and activities.

- Helped coordinate the efforts of the Cumberland River Crew to aid with the Letcher County Flood Relief. Served as a donation drop-off site, provided free meals, and worked to offer assistance to hundreds of family affected by the natural disaster. Worked onsite hands on to help with clean up efforts as well as food and water distribution.

- Served as student advocate for Backroads of Appalachia helping to promote MotorSport Tourism in Southeastern Kentucky.

- Assisted my parents in the building, developing, and launching of The General Store at Pine Mountain Crossing, our family business that became a designation for tourists and locals alike. One key focus of our business was working to build community partnerships and promote our region. We worked tirelessly together to build something we all could be proud of.
