Adebunmi Savage is an equity-driven education leader with over a decade of experience transforming schools and advancing opportunities for historically marginalized students.
Currently, Chief Academic Officer and Co-Principal at Pharos Academy Charter School in the South Bronx, she has led instructional and organizational redesigns that produced double-digit gains in K-12 student achievement, improved graduation and college readiness rates, and elevated teacher practice through innovative professional development models.
Her leadership sits at the intersection of academic rigor, relational trust, and systemic equity. As a child refugee displaced by the Sierra Leonean civil war, Adebunmi was profoundly shaped by public school teachers who nurtured her potential, an experience that drives her lifelong commitment to ensuring excellence and access for all students.
