malarial infection on prenatal and neonatal morbidity and mortality. Delivered direct patient care and performed surgery in a remote hospital in Northeastern South Africa.
Clinical Researcher, Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Dept. of Otolaryngology, University of Melbourne,
Summer 1993. Developed a retrospective study to explore the effects of otosclerosis on
cochlear implant performance. Utilized CT scans of temporal bones and patient performance on postoperative
sentence tests.
Clinical Research Assistant, New York Hospital, Dept. of Hematology/Oncology. 1991-1992. Assisted in
a project with Dr. Babette Weksler to explore the effects of low dose aspirin on prostaglandin production
in pregnant women with histories of miscarriage. Serum, urine, placenta and cord were analyzed via
