As a telephone order taker in a restaurant I am responsible for answering incoming calls and helping customers place their food orders. I listen carefully to what the customer wants, explain menu items, prices, and any specials, and make sure the order is written or entered correctly in our order system. I also confirm details like order size, add-ons, delivery or pickup time, address, and payment method. I communicate the order clearly to the kitchen staff, checks that everything is accurate, and may handle customer questions, complaints, or changes to orders in a polite and professional way. My job is to help make sure customers get the correct food on time and have a good experience.
