Research Interests

My research intersects the long-term implications of systemic inequity and poverty vis a vis Bourdieu’s frameworks of Social and Cultural Capital. Utilizing a phenomenological and mixed methods approach I seek etiology concerning college access, equity in k-12 settings, college persistence, and college degree completion for the child raised in poverty.
