Behavior Consultant

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments to determine functions of behavior.
• Implement clinical service delivery goals consistent with overall agency goals and policy/procedures.
• Create and implement behavior intervention plans utilizing Applied Behavioral Analysis to teach functional skills and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
• Provide training for parents/guardians on the ABA interventions used in the treatment plan to promote generalization.
• Provide supervision to the Behavior Technicians working with clients and their families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment/educational team focused on enhancing the lives of children and their families.
• Complete all required training for state and local licenses, certifications, clearances, and formal training.

• Provides services to families referred including Parent Training, Behavior Consultation, Assessments, and Behavior Change Interventions.
• Ensures that all behavior analytic programming conducted by Behavior Technicians meets company standards and ethical codes.
• Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationships with clients, caregivers, and family members.
• Utilize the science of Behavior Analysis to teach socially significant skills to individual clients, caregivers, and other family members and to reduce problem behaviors.
• Supervision activities include direct observation of the Behavioral Technician providing treatment, providing feedback on performance, and ensuring satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols.
• Effectively and appropriately communicates with all involved in treatment regarding questions, concerns, scheduling, and other topics relating to ongoing treatment sessions.
• Maintains administrative and non-clinical functions to ensure the continued success of families served, the treatment team, employees, and the organization as a whole.

• Work one-to-one to provide direct implementation of treatment plans related to skill- acquisition and behavior reduction.
• Communicate with parents, and caregivers regarding client progress.
• Collect data and document progress as advised by the BCBA
• Adhering to behavior intervention plans developed by the BCBA.
• Complete paperwork and documentation as required and in a timely fashion.

• Key responsibility includes providing one-to-one ABA interventions to children in the school setting.
• I provide interventions as a model for school personnel, parents, family members, and other significant individuals to teach and reinforce a child's appropriate expression of emotions and pro-social behaviors.
• Provide one-to-one direct intervention modeling for the parents, family members, school personnel, ensuring behavior intervention strategies are implemented with high treatment fidelity.
• Assist in the development of interagency coordination efforts.
• Collaborate with the crisis intervention team to de-escalate behaviors during a crisis situation.
• Collect data and document progress as advised by the BCBA.
• Complete paperwork and documentation as required and in a timely fashion.
• Comply with all HIPAA and FERPA guidelines regarding confidentiality.
• Attend team meetings and training to maintain certifications and skills enhancement.
• Adhere to agency standards and policies.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities.
