Hi! I'm Aditya, a freshman at the University of California-San Diego interested in human biology, biotechnology and microbiology. I'm pursuing a pre-med track and am deeply interested in orthopaedics and diabetes research. I'm passionate about using our modern understanding of biology alongside the rapid developments in the A.I sector to help further the power of modern medicine. Outside of school, I enjoy playing sports, hiking, reading, and painting. Currently looking for opportunities for the summer of 2024!

I alongside a team of 14 other individuals consisting of doctors, medical students, software engineers and other high school students, helped coordinate and provide resources such as oxygen tanks, hospital beds, defibrillators, and pharmaceutical drugs to hospitals in Delhi overwhelmed with patients during the 2nd wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Through this project, we were able to help save and treat 100+ patients across 5 hospitals.

During my time volunteering at the Cheers Foundation, I decided to go and teach the children from grades 4th - 7th math and English. I did this by taking my own textbooks and work that I had in those years and accordingly taught them several topics in math and English and gave them homework to help them improve their understanding of the concepts being taught.
Type 1 Diabetes (T1D Project) - Mar 2021 - Sep 2021
I started this in collaboration with my friend, Ishan, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes during the Covid-19 pandemic. Given his struggle, we started this project to spread awareness about the disease and show other diabetics that they're not alone in their journey. We raised awareness through Medium and Quora by writing articles and interacting with our target audience via Instagram (@thet1dproject) and also raised funds for an NGO (Bluecircles Diabetes Foundation) by hosting basketball tournaments.
Bulimia Nervosa Project - Sep 2019 - Jan 2020
This project was done in order to spread awareness about rapidly growing eating disorders amongst young girls and women in efforts to pursue unrealistic bodies through absurd diets with practically zero nutritional value, this, in turn, is followed by an event of binge eating when they lose control and stray from their diet after which they purge/vomit in order to avoid the excess weight gain. So in order to help spread awareness about bulimia Nervosa we decided to make pamphlets and distribute them in our communities and nearby malls. We also made a website which people could visit to get more information about the eating disorder. While also attaching a few books that are known to help people struggling with the eating disorder and a video which we made by interviewing a dietician using a select questionnaire. I also developed my research skills whilst accumulating data on the problem an searching for a solution.
