I am a semester one nursing student at SJSU with a focus on pediatric care as a future specialty. I have volunteered for two summers in a row as a camp counselor for sixth graders both in 2022 and 2023, acting as a mentor and role-model for the upcoming youth by teaching them how to resolve conflict, solve problems, and create bonds with peers. I have one year of experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant for a year and helped take care of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and other basic needs such as hygiene, feeding, mobility, and taking vital signs for geriatric patients.
