- During my two year tour at Aviano Air Base, Italy, I conducted numerous tasks as a security forces member. I was told to:
- Secure nuclear assets and components, patrol the interior and perimeter of the instillation, deter aggression from enemies, enforce the laws IAW the UCMJ also federal and state laws, respond to emergencies, set up cordons, accept command and control until relieved, train in combatives and recertify on weapons bi yearly, perform recap and recoveries for resources in the restricted area, know how to be an Installation Entry Controller, I have conducted many random vehicle inspections, also was exposed at times to being a traffic controller, ive responded to two suicidal ideations, I was trained on knowing how to interact with suspected drunk drivers and knowing how to properly conduct a field sobriety test. These are just few of many things that the job required myself to do.
