- Full-time 3rd shift at Forest View Psychiatric Hospital as an intake clinician in the Assessment and Referral Center. I handled intake assessments with incoming patients to determine their level of risk; as well as the appropriate level of care for him/her.
- I worked with patients spanning all levels of acuity/psychosis. This could range from those that need inpatient or partial hospitalization due to a significant decline in their level of functioning, all the way to acutely psychotic with an impaired reality base.
- I made sure to assess/document level of risk accurately and then figure out a plan of action to address the concerns.
- In January of 2020 I was promoted to second shift supervisor in the Assessment and Referral Department. During my time as a supervisor I was responsible for managing ARC staff on second shift, tracking Medicare compliance, auditing assessments for clinical accuracy and documentation of criteria, setting forth clear expectations, work with staff when those expectations were not met, and boost staff morale for the good work that was put forth. Balancing all of the aforementioned tasks definitely served to further develop my leadership skills and taught me priceless lessons in management.
