Adrian Alvarez

While volunteering at Watts Learning Center I picked up a lot of skills that could help me in so many aspects. I was able to enhance my social skills, and being around young children really helped me develop more patience. I got used to cleaning up, sweeping, picking up trash and taking out garbage. Before my experience there, I was on my high school basketball team, where I observed the importance of communication between players to make sure everyone was on the same page, along with it I was able to acquire a lot of physical strength and stamina. Both of these experiences allowed me to become more knowledgeable and confident about what I bring to the table.
