My work experience as a barista, team member, and restaurant worker all helped cultivate my strong social skills in customer service. I have had plenty of experiences, some good and some bad, which helped me learn patience, future-thinking, conscientiousness, and a professional manner of interacting with others. My diverse academic experiences across several fields helped me grow to become more open-minded, competitive, and willing to learn and admit flaws. Above all, I would consider myself a well-rounded, inquisitive, and people-loving person who just wants to gain new experiences and meet new people.
After my graduation in 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Computer Science, and a minor in Philosophy, I plan to continue on my path towards a career in computer programming. Specifically, I would like to work in artificial intelligence (A.I.). With the rise of technology and A.I., I want to be a part of integrating it safely, effectively, and morally into our society. A.I. is a new and frightening technology for many people, and I believe that my academic experiences across Psychology and Philosophy, as well as my own personal life experiences, make me someone fit to work with A.I. and provide a humanistic touch to it. I want to help grow A.I., while also making it compatible with emotional and personable aspects unique to humans. Where many people see the future of A.I. as something out of the Matrix, I see it as something that can be beneficial and safe, as long as the world has responsible, intelligent, and ethical people working on it. I believe myself to be one of those potential people, and want nothing more than to be a part of this progressive time in history.
