  • Certified line locating from Utility Training Academy (UTA), along with an annual certification of training in line sweeping, finding and pinpointing underground utilities from a field training specialist with radiodetection. I understand and evaluate city utility maps to determine the general locations of underground city mains and services, I am proficient in the proper use of line locating equipment and assure proper operation of such equipment. I communicate with individuals requesting line location services as well as the director of utilities. I am also proficient in receiving tickets via e-mail from NM 811, after receiving a ticket I positively respond on the ticket status. As the only line locator in the City of Las Vegas, I was on call 24/7. I attended weekly safety trainings, monthly city required trainings, trenching and excavating, traffic control and PPE trainings to ensure employee and public safety. Properly perform field identification of lines and services using the proper color coding that adhere to the laws and regulations of New Mexico PRC pipeline safety bureau.
