Adrian Rojas Rosales

Summary

I started at 16 years old trying to find a job, and I did at Quik Trip, and it helped me develop many skills and grow from a kid to an adult. I graduated high school from Franklin Police and Fire High School, and I did some college, but I moved into my electrical job, which I was at for more than a year. I chose a different route, so I left Electrical, and I went on my own to Southwest Truck Driver School, pursued my CDL, and graduated. Now I am in the position to find my new job, and I am committed to being an employee for Waste Management for a very long time, which you should know is my first and only option because I would like to be employed by the best company in the game.

Work History

Electrical Apprentice

AEC Electric
Phoenix, AZ
03.2024 - 04.2025
  • Electrical was my first choice as a trade after high school, and I got hired by the company as an apprentice. I learned a lot during my time with them, and it was a new experience in the construction world. Funny enough, I saw waste management at every job site I went to.
  • I was employed for over a year with AEC, and during my time there, I learned more responsibilities, how to figure things out on my own, and always listened to my superiors, no matter what.
  • During my time here, I had a friend who had just gotten his CDL and told me he was applying to waste management. He ended up getting hired for WM, and I also had another buddy who had been at WM for a couple of years as well, and I met him through my first buddy. I got motivated to do the same, so I did it a couple of months later. I saved up enough to get my CDL. Realistically, my only choice for a job in the CDL world is waste management because of all the great things I hear, plus knowing it's a very good company to be with from my buddy's experience, and also knowing that I will be treated with all the respect and I will be valued here.

Clerk

QuikTrip
Phoenix, AZ
11.2021 - 04.2024
  • Quik Trip was my first job, and I was employed there for 2 1/2 years, from 16 to 18 years old.
  • During my time at Quik Trip, I learned how to start from the bottom, with training first, then moving up little by little. As time went on, I got better at everything I was taught, which led me to excel in my position and receive two promotions, resulting in increased pay as well.
  • QuikTrip taught me the importance of exceeding expectations to help the company grow and maintain a good reputation as the best gas station, and I will always carry that characteristic with me everywhere I go, including in waste management.
  • I grew as a person and became more social, which led me to meet a gentleman by the name of Willy. I started a small conversation with him, and he asked me if I wanted to do anything after I graduated high school. I said CDL and Electrical. He told me that if I ever got my CDL and wanted a job, I should go to Waste Management and say, 'Tell them Willy sent you.' Since that day, I never forgot his name. I never knew why, but it led me to the moment of officially having my CDL and applying to Waste Management after all this time.

Skills

  • My name is Adrian Rojas Rosales, I am 19 years old, and the middle child with three brothers My parents were born and raised in Mexico, but immigrated here in the USA as kids for a better life, and long story short, my mom had me and my siblings and gave us the best she could She struggled to give us the best, but made sure we had the basics and worked up to two jobs to provide with very little help from my dad I always admired her work ethic and learned from it, so I promised myself I would work even harder to someday earn a good living and pay her back for what she sacrificed and show her it paid off while showing my two younger siblings a good role model and someone to look up to I will always be focused on my future goals, which means always improving in anything and developing as an adult in every way, shape, or form, so I can guarantee my professionalism and my work ethic will always be there for waste management, including me being responsible no matter what I would very much appreciate an opportunity at Waste Management, knowing that I would be giving 110% every day and showing up every day, proving why I would be a great asset to Waste Management while being able to represent and help WM make money, while also making a good living myself, but more than anything, making sure I take care of my mom while having a good career at WM and paying her back, which has been my main goal, and with that being said, I feel and know WM is the only company that would allow me to strive for that I am also not scared to say that I really am in need of a job since Ive been unemployed for around 2 months because I did school for a month and it would be nice to get into WM as soon as possible because that means ill be able top support myself financially and help take care of bills for my mom and show her that her physically being there for me my whole life wasn't a waste and to make her proud of my accomplishments
