  • During my internship at Harrison County CPS, I learned a great deal about family-centered practice, person-in-environment, and the MDCPS policy. I followed four CFPS workers for four-months while being actively involved observing cases. Furthermore, I engaged in Family Team Meetings, Supervised visitations, IEP meetings at schools, home visits, school visits, Forensic Interviews, adoption meetings, foster-care reviews, resource center, and play therapy sessions. I applied my university knowledge to understand the family dynamics and to further understand what is required from CFPS employees.
