Work History

Volunteer Screener

American Red Cross Greater New York
Brooklyn, NY
03.2024 - Current
  • As a volunteer screener, I assist in outreach for finding new volunteers to join the Red Cross team. With this, I take about 2-4 calls per week, where I speak to prospective volunteers who are interested in joining the American Red Cross. While on call, I would ask the prospective volunteers about their previous experience, words to describe themselves, what motivated them to volunteer with the Red Cross, and ultimately match them to one of our open positions. From there, I would send a referral to the department head.

Autism Awareness Volunteer

Steps to Success 3
Brooklyn, NY
04.2020 - Current
  • During the month of April, I would volunteer at Steps to Success 3 to help sell bracelets in order to raise money for the Autism Awareness organization. Additionally, I helped organize for my friend, who deals with autism, to come in and speak at the event in order to talk about the challenges he's had to face, as well as spread awareness about autism itself.

Breast Cancer Awareness Volunteer

Steps to Success 3
Brooklyn, NY
04.2019 - Current
  • During the month of October, I would volunteer at Steps to Success 3 in order to raise money, along with awareness, for Breast Cancer. In order to do so, we would hold an annual bake sale, as well as sell bracelets to those interested. Lastly, we would speak to all those purchasing about the importance of awareness of breast cancer.

Volunteer Food Deliverer

City Meals on Wheels
New York, NY
06.2024 - 08.2024
  • While volunteering for City Meals on Wheels, I would arrive at a designated building and pick up about a dozen frozen meals to be delivered. Then, I would walk to the designated buildings with all the frozen meals and hand-deliver each meal to the doors of the people who requested them.

Volunteer Shadowing

Doctor Steven Emmett
Brooklyn, NY
05.2024 - 08.2024
  • As a shadow, I was able to truly immerse myself in the medical field. I would carefully watch and take notes of the daily patients I came in contact with, along with conducting urine tests. In total, I averaged about 65 hours of shadowing.

Volunteer Shadowing

Doctor Daniel Branovan
Brooklyn, NY
05.2024 - 08.2024
  • At my time shadowing Dr. Daniel Branovan, I was able to perform vitals and accurately document information in patient charts. Additionally, I was able to observe and take note of the patients' situations, along with how the doctor performed his job. In total, I averaged about 120 hours of shadowing.

Summer Camp Counselor

Steps to Success 3
Brooklyn, NY
05.2023 - 08.2024
  • During my time as a summer camp counselor, I supervised groups of children during both indoor activities, as well as trips and other outdoor activities. In addition, I would help coordinate and plan future trips for the campers to attend, as well as help organize various activities and games to keep the campers engaged at all times. Lastly, I made sure to create a personal and friendly relationship with each camper to ensure that they felt safe and comfortable to speak to me whenever they needed assistance.

Medical Scribe Assistant

Doctor Daniel Branovan
Brooklyn, NY
05.2024 - 08.2024
  • As a medical scribe assistant for an otolaryngologist, I would be in charge of assisting in taking notes and documenting the entirety of the interactions between the patient and doctor, as well as entering critical information into patient charts. As I was only able to hold this position for a few months, I closely shadowed a scribe already working there and assisted her in the position of a day-to-day medical scribe.
