Starting at Harbor Freight, I was going there to look for more opportunities. I started off working in sales for the first few months, then I made my way to be a part of the logistics team. I enjoyed my time at Harbor Freight because I got to learn many new, great experiences, especially how important safety can be in a workplace.
The manager approached me to join his team! He continuously observed my work ethic, dedication to customer care, and adherence to hard and efficient work habits. Once on the team, I set both individual and team goals. I am trusted to travel and lead inventory management for other sites. The process includes both manual and electronic cycle counting for full inventory accuracy against the electronic on-hand. Observe and identify employee and team-based productivity, along with gaps that may be aligned for me to provide constructive feedback for them to grow as individuals and in a team environment. Responsible for opening the store or closing the store. Train new hires on standardized processes, and provide mentorship for a positive work environment, prioritization, and teamwork alliances.
Working at Stater Brothers included helping customers with bagging, collecting shopping carts, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring a clean environment for customers and employees. Job tasks were incrementally increased, and the leaders relied on me for my timeliness, in-tune customer service, as well as taking the lead in my department to train on boards and to mentor any team member who was not working to the caliber needed to meet expectations.
