Company Overview: Primary Care Provider in a fast-paced underserved health clinic.
Provide preventive care across all ages.
Extensive practice in the areas of Pediatrics and Geriatrics.
Involved in all aspects of patient care including taking detailed history, physical examinations, development and implementation of treatment plans, administration and prescription of medications, ordering and interpretation of laboratory tests and diagnostic studies, obtaining and interpretation of EKGs, as well as in-office minor surgical procedures.
Most days I served as the sole clinical provider.
Diagnose and treat common primary care problems including URIs, bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, pharyngitis, mononucleosis, asthma exacerbation, conjunctivitis, corneal abrasion, otitis media, otitis externa, migraines, GERD, gastroenteritis, allergic reactions, dermatitis, Tineas, fractures/dislocations, UTIs, STIs, vaginitis, hemorrhoid.
Experience in the management of chronic medical illnesses such as, but not limited to HTN, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, heart failure, obesity, thyroid disease, chronic pain syndrome, arthritis, asthma, depression, anxiety.
Procedures: I and D, closure of wounds via sutures, staples, and dermabond, removal of sutures and staples, aseptic techniques, wound care and dressing changes, injections, venipuncture, collection of cultures, arterial blood draws, ear lavage, placement of catheters, examination of eyes using fluorescein staining and woods light, skin tag and wart removal, casting and splinting, removal of central lines, removal of chest tubes, CPR, ACLS, cardiac defibrillation.
Extensive practice in the areas of pediatrics/adolescent medicine including well child/adolescent exams, sports physicals, infant care/nutrition, vaccines, eczema, enuresis, obesity, injury prevention, management of ADHD, depression, anxiety, and behavioral problems.
Women's health including Pap-smears, wet mount, safe sex counseling, contraceptive initiation and surveillance, basic obstetric care, evaluation and management of abnormal uterine bleeding, menopause, PCOS, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, osteoporosis, mastodynia, vaginal atrophy.
Management of mental health including depression, anxiety, PTSD, Domestic Violence.
