As an oil painter, I challenge myself by introducing subject matter that is unconventional to the medium while practicing my technical skill set. I pride myself on being an artist that has intention and a narrative to communicate with their work but I’ve opened up to making my style more versatile and abstract. Some themes and subjects you’ll find within my work are gentrification, the Puerto Rican diaspora, spirituality, femininity, fetishization, and intersectionality and I intend to showcase how all of these issues are not separate from one another but are interwoven.
