I'm AJ, a motivated and focused engineering student with a broad skill set developed through internships with industry leaders like Siemens and Volvo, where I gained valuable experience in optimization, system operation and maintenance. My role as a Resident Assistant and Captain of the Rugby Team at the College of Charleston has taught me how to work effectively with diverse groups, manage responsibilities, and solve problems under pressure. Complimenting my academic foundation in engineering and math I greatly value hard work and a strong work ethic. I believe in the power of growth, and I am always seeking opportunities to grow professionally, intellectually, and personally—striving to bring my best self to every destination.
3x National Collegiate Rugby Allstar, As a National Rugby Allstar I represent my school competing in various tournaments and matches at one of the highest levels in America. More importantly I am a Student Athlete. Student before Athlete, pursuing a higher education degree. Balancing academic responsibilities with rigorous rugby training and matches requires me to have traits of strong time management and dedication. Rugby is a team sport, and collegiate rugby players work closely with their teammates to develop strategies, improve skills, and compete at a high level. Teamwork, communication, and developing friendships outside of the sport all are essential aspects of being a top notch rugby player. I participate in regular training sessions, which include physical conditioning, weightlifting, skill development, and tactical drills. Training can be physically demanding but builds competitiveness, fitness, and character.
