Principal Office Assistant

  • Assisting 3 Academic Chairs, 2 Assistant Chairs and 1 Associate Dean of Academic Affairs in performing specialized duties within the operation of 35 disciplines.
  • Supervise and delegate work to Senior Office Assistants, College Aids and Work Study Student in their roles of the department. I have also trained Administrative and Prinicipal Office Assistants outside of my department.
  • Aided as an Administrative Assistant for 3 months for Executive Dean Rios during their hiring process and assist college wide Deans and Administrators as needed.
  • Interpret college and department regulations, procedures and follow up with Academic Chairs in their implementation making suggestions on how to efficiently utilize them within our areas.
  • Act as a liaison with internal and external agencies such as vendors, College-wide Academic Chairs, Administrators and Deans with purchasing, assisting in creating and manipulating classes in the College Master Schedule Banner 9 system for each upcoming semester.

  • Prepare departmental and campus reports such as room conflict reports for every building and campus each semester and distribute to campus departments.
  • Purchasing agent for 16 budgets using our Sharkmart purchasing system
  • Process work orders for building maintenance in our MYSCHOOLBUILDING system.
  • Process work orders for department computer repairs in MYSCCC Banner 9 system.
  • Assist in our Schedule D payroll system for adjustments to PA's and faculty in our department areas.
  • Prepare Substitute Pay, Docking, Add and Adjustment forms to payroll for faculty as requested by the Academic Chairs.
  • Process and collect Travel paperwork for faculty and Academic Chairs and process PO's in Sharkmart.
  • Typing, answer phones, photocopy and computer troubleshooting, prepare exams for faculty and reports for Academic Chairs as requested.
