For the past 8 years, I have been privately contracting to paint whatever I can, wherever I can. I am an excellent house painter that takes great pride in a job well done. In the past, the Manthous Painting Company has: Painted surfaces using brushes, spray guns, and paint rollers; Prepared surfaces and surrounding areas for painting using sandpaper, tape, and other materials; Painted indoor areas such as hallways, bathrooms, and lobbies; Painted Outdoors areas such as doors, trim, and entire houses; Maintained a clean and organized workspace, minimizing disruptions for clients during projects. What was once a hobby has now turned into a small business that I've grown to love building and working for.

As the Team Lead, I took great pride in ensuring the smooth day to day operation of the facility whilst entertaining and supervising kids ages 10-18. My responsibilities included but were not limited to: Providing excellent guest service; Following proper sanitation and safety procedures; Supervising and arranging activities for large groups of children; Managing and selling of inventory and merchandise; Assisting in the scheduling of employees. It was through this seasonal job in Colorado that I discovered a real passion in working with children. Not only was I very well suited in managing and supervising, I found it to be an enjoyable experience I will always remember in my professional career.

As the manager of operations I: Set and enforced rules, business procedures, and alcohol restrictions to staff and customers; Provided excellent guest service; Identified and resolved unauthorized, unsafe, or ineffective practices; Established positive and effective communication among staff and company owners reducing miscommunications; Scheduled tours and fielded customer complaints. Managing the daily operation of these bike tours during the warmer months in Kentucky was a great way to supplement my income. Although it was for only a short time, I learned invaluable lessons in customer service and being a manager.

As the day to day general laborer, I Loaded, unloaded, and moved material to and from storage and production areas; Utilized hammers, saws, squares, levels, and fastening devices to complete projects; Brought materials and tools from trucks and storage facilities to work site locations and organized for expected needs; Worked independently and as a team in fast-paced environment while meeting productivity and quality expectations; Operated heavy machinery and utilized a variety of power equipment. My whole life I've had an affinity to building things, helping others, and improving the world around me; As my first real job out of college, this was the perfect setting for me to learn and thrive. At times the work could back breaking, exhausting, agonizing and intolerable, but to this day I view it as one of the most influential and rewarding jobs I've ever worked that has helped mold me into the individual I am today.

Over the summers during my years in college, I worked full time for a marine contractor here in my hometown of Niantic to help people in my community satisfy their boating needs. As his deckhand, we installed and serviced mooring systems all across the eastern coast of Connecticut. My responsibilities included but were not limited to: Mooring inspections, maintenance, and new installation; Dock, buoy, and swim line installations; Scuba diving; Routine boat servicing such as cleaning, painting, and sanding boat bottoms. This seasonal job was a great way to make money for college while simultaneously helping the community and doing something I've always loved.
