Administer research treatments as ordered per IRB or research protocol

Performed all nursing duties as ordered on a Medical surgical floor, such as with nursing assessments, blood transfusions, peritoneal dialysis, medication administration and communicating with providers and other members of the care team.

Delegated appropriate tasks to Patient Care Technicians who assisted with checking vital signs, rounding, repositioning, bathing, feeding and ambulating patients.

Spring 2008

Transferred to Hematology Oncology began administering chemotherapy and caring for some radiation patients on a BMT Floor.

Administered blood products. Monitored and provided supportive care to Stem Cell Transplant and CAR-T patients.

2018-2020

Night Shift Team Lead Role

Made patient assignments for day shift and nightshift staffs;

Performed central line audits;

Provided resource assistance to staff nurses and PCTs whenever needed;

Communicated with physicians, house nurse supervisors and other members of the health care team

Spring 2020

Transferred to Outpatient Chemo Unit/Infusion Center. Administered Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy medications, injections and hydrations;

performed occasional therapeutic phlebotomy;

Accessed Portacaths, Trifusions and PICC lines, maintained dressing changes and administered medications through them; Placed peripheral IV lines.
