Research Experience

Summer of 2017 and 2018,
Volunteered at Dr. Burnett’s lab at The Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute in Baltimore, Maryland, US. Physically joined the lab for five non-consecutive months and continued remotely during school.
My contributions were primarily in translational clinical research, particularly retrospective studies, and some clinical trials.
My involvement included data collection, data analysis, coding, writing and editing the manuscript, and publication submission.
We successfully published several projects, including:

During my residency at the University of Cairo in Egypt,
I’ve participated in various clinical research projects in internal and acute medicine, including:
- Cohort studies on Hepato-cellular carcinoma patients, focusing on the detection rates and characteristics of colonic polyps and adenomas in Egyptian patients.
- Retrospective studies and clinical trials in hematological diseases, particularly in Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP).
