- I volunteered as a Research Assistant in the Department of Neurology & Psychiatry at Minia University, Egypt.

My responsibilities included:

-Recruiting individuals with Tramadol abuse for a research study investigating the frequency and risk factors associated with seizure occurrence.
-Obtaining informed consent and ensuring compliance with study protocols.

-Conducting follow-up appointments and managing data collection, entry, and analysis to assess the accuracy of EEGs and urinalyses, contributing to the study's overall reliability.
-Assisted in manuscript writing & preparation, result compilation, and the development of the study for publication and presentation.

Public Health & Volunteer Activities:

• Stop Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) campaigns:

-Recruited volunteers, coordinated and participated in campaigns/activities targeting underprivileged areas aiming to raise awareness about the health risks and legal implications of FGM  via educational sessions provided by Student Union and social counseling centers.

-Collaborated with NGOs and healthcare professionals to support anti-FGM initiatives.

• Gender Equality and Women's empowerment campaigns:

-Promoted gender equality in the workplace through awareness campaigns and discussions.

-Participated in initiatives aimed at empowering women and underrepresented groups in the workforce.

-Conducted educational workshops on gender bias, discrimination, and workplace inclusivity.

• Breast Cancer Awareness campaigns:

- Coordinated and participated in campaigns organized by Minia Oncology Center aiming to spread awareness about breast cancer risk factors, early detection and self-screening techniques via educational sessions and pamphlets, social media campaigns and outpatient clinics counseling.

• Blood donation campaigns:

-Coordinated recruitment for Blood donation campaigns organized by Regional Blood Transfusion Center (RBTC).

• Medical Caravans and Mobile Health Centers:

-Conducted health awareness sessions on disease prevention, hygiene, and nutrition.

-Educated communities on managing chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension.

-Distributed medical supplies, medications, and health-related resources to patients in need

-Supervised and managed 4 teams responsible for reception and services for incoming international exchange students, including receiving program participants, providing logistics & accommodation, arranging for activities, addressing feedbacks and any concerns/issues during program-participant stay.
