The Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters CCHI certification knowledge tier (CoreCHI™) or the performance tier (CoreCHI-Performance™ or  language-specific CHI™) - is valid for four years provided that the credential holder adheres to  CCHI's requirements regarding maintaining their certification and renews their certification in a  timely manner.
