Initiate plant start up/shut down and adjust equipment for daily runs. Includes industrial furnace, crusher/pulverizer, drum de-hydrator, hammer mill, auger conveyors, rotating magnets, and ensuring all components are operating while remaining alert for potential errors.
Ensure all hazardous materials and meat products are removed from compost pile before being loaded into hopper for processing.
Perform pre-trip inspection and preventative maintenance on company front-end loader. (Greasing, checking fluids, scheduling services and repairs)
Operate front-end loader to blend raw compost material into dirt-like substance before loading into hopper and ensure processing can be completed quickly as well as high-stacking product when floor space is limited.
Facilitate production floor to safely allow belted tractor-trailers, front-loader trucks and roll-off trucks to enter and unload with minimal delay.
Work additional shifts when short-staffed to ensure production quotas are met.
Communicate with team members in breakdown-scenarios, in order to safely perform necessary corrective tasks to keep plant running.
Load finished product into tractor-trailers with front-end loader for customer delivery.
Complete truck load-tickets for data compilation on weight delivery and distribution.
Operate forklift/pallet jack unloading containers from box trailers and dump containers on production floor.
